Meet our Pros

The Lead Instructors:

Fox has made his living at the tables for the last six years, with the majority of his income coming from online play. A respected poker author, instructor, and game theorist, he writes a monthly column in Poker Pro and Poker Pro Europe magazines. He has also been published frequently online at pocketfives.com, where his Bankroll Management article won the Article of the Year award, and twoplustwo.com. Fox is also a consummate student of the game, with hundreds of poker and game theory books in his library, and a book of his own coming out soon.

He may be most well known for his poker coaching skills, with hundreds of students now raving about what Fox did for their game. A note here from Fox himself - "I am no longer taking students from outside the site. My schedule is too full already and I don't have the time to take people through the first 20 hours of training when they can get it from the site and come to me when they are ready to start to learn the more complex parts of the game that are so much fun to teach."

Adam Stemple, hatfield13 on most poker sites, is our resident hi/lo expert as well as a fine tournament player who has recorded wins in both live and online events. As a teenager in Massachusetts, he played nickel ante no-limit games to keep himself in smokes and beer, eventually moving to Minneapolis and playing higher in home games, occasionally spending the weekend in Iowa casinos slaughtering their 7-stud 8 or better games. When the Canterbury Park Cardroom opened, Adam coined the phrase, "All the action you could want, and more rake than you can stand." He still wonders why they don't use it in their ads.

He began his online career by turning fifty bonus dollars at PartyPoker into ten thousand real dollars in less than six months. He hasn't played much brick and mortar since. Supplementing his poker income by writing novels and playing with his band, The Tim Malloys, Adam last held a "real" job in 1987 when he drove pizzas for nine months. Check out www.adamstemple.com for more information.

Mark "Mscell" Scellato is not only a very successful tournament player (with major wins in the Pokerstars $100k Guaranteed and the Wednesday Night $150K, with $230,000 in winnings on Stars alone) but his students have also had great success. Mark has helped a number of low and middle level tournament players increase their bankrolls and move up in stakes, and he is as proud of his student's success as he is of his own.

Mark built his poker bankroll by playing the 180 seat sit and go tournaments on Pokerstars. After mastering the 180's, he quickly moved on to larger tournaments. You can usually find him on PokerStars in any tourney with a buy-in of $50 or more, but as our lead tournament instructor, Mark makes videos at all different levels for our members. Mark's teaching ability is unparalleled, and we are pleased to have him as part of the team. Mark's seminars for our members received such rave reviews that they have become a regular occurrence.

Like totally Zen, man...

We hire teachers for their actual teaching ability, and not for their fame, internet rankings, or the number of commercials they've made. We invite--no, we insist that our members ask the instructors questions and challenge their decisions. When discussion is encouraged, the teacher learns even as the students do, and together we all grow as players.
